colored pencils, pastels, graphite and acrylic paint.
time involved - A LOT!!

Ok so i now love color. i used paints for my first time here, but this is hardly a painting. i really like pastels now. i figure i can get the best of both worlds by using heavy amounts of graphite which i love so much and at the same time, use color. i wanted to challenge myself here, but at the same time since this is my first attempt with pastels i wanted to get a range of practice in. i went with a cat because of its highly detailed face and hairy body. so i got a variety of practice in. i learned a lot with this. ENJOY!! oh and most of the paint was used for the wiskers...

I gotta say this, along with all of your other works are very well done pieces.

I have been requested to do a water color painting of 2 cats for a lady in Canada. I paint many of the same animals you have and did all of them in 2011, 45 paintings in total.

I thought it was a photograph, so realistic !!! And she certainly does have class. I do love that typical feline indignant expression !!! Lovely work !!!

Stunning.

As a huge cat-lover myself I have always been quite mystified by their eyes - they seem to tell you what a cat is thinking.
You've even managed to capture the "I'm regal and I damn well know it" expression that all cats look at you with... I can appreciate how much time must have gone into those eyes!
